IWC supplies heat exchanger for Desorption and Recovery plant in Indonesia

IWC | Industrial Water Cooling recently supplied a new AT100B plate and frame heat exchanger to AZMET Technology and Projects who was awarded the design and supply of a new DR Plant expansion at the Doup Gold Mine.

The Doup Gold Mine is based in North Sulawesi, Indonesia and the mine life is projected to be more than 20 years. In the early stages of production, Doup’s gold mine production is planned to be around 50,000-70,000 oz per year.

Our locally engineered and manufactured plate heat exchanger was assembled in our factory, pressure tested and then shipped to Indonesia for installation in the DR plant by our client, AZMET Technology and Projects. AZMET Technology and Projects specialises in gold beneficiation process technologies and equipment.

The new AT100B plate and frame heat exchanger comes complete with a locally manufactured mild steel painted frame with special 4 inch SS316 ANSI B16.5 weld neck flanges together with imported SS316 plates and EPDM gaskets. The heat exchanger will provide energy recovery between the distillation column and diesel fired primary heat exchanger and improve the efficiency and boost the gold recovery at the plant.
